Date: Sunday January 8th 2023
Back for another year our Jan Fondo is the perfect post festive calorie burn, a chance to get back on your bike and clock up some quality miles.
RnR is open from 7am for sign on and pre ride coffees
Riders set off from RnR anytime after 8, it's just about light then.
Destination is again Cafe 3Sixty in Bovey Tracey, it's the perfect distance from RnR for a winter ride and best of all they have the log burner on, decent coffee and if the worst comes to the worst we can bundle you in the van and give you a lift home.
If you've never ridden one of our events before then you need to know we don't sign out routes or even provide a route. The joy of the event is hooking up with some friends, making a route and then riding it. That said we're about, no rider gets left behind and you'll definitely make some new friends.
Here's some ideas
Over the moors to Mortonhampstead and then descending to Bovey and back via the old A38 roads.
Along the coast and looping back to Bovey and then home via the old A38 roads.
Off road to Princetown, Hexworthy, Widecombe and then back (brutal unless you're on the electric mountain bike).
You're getting the idea, there's plenty of great rides to be made, we don't care what bike you're on. Ride what you like.
Entry fee is £15 gets you a post ride RnR Mug and we fill it with coffee or beer. Assistance is available if it all goes wrong.
Ride distance is a solid fondo, 70-75 miles maybe a touch more.
